  • Keynote

The call started at 12:05pm Eastern.

The PC first discussed the survey data provided to the PC by Merit for NANOG 49. There was minimal commentary.

Second, the PC discussed special ideas for the upcoming meeting, seeing as this will be the 50th NANOG meeting to take place. Ideas brainstormed included an Outrageous Opinions Panel, bring back our favorite NANOG talks from the past 50 meetings, reviewing old talks that made predictions for the future (and seeing if those predictions came true), and a bloopers reel from the video archive.

Talk recruiting continues - with the PC working on IPv6 talks, DNSSEC talks, and various datacenter networking panels in progress. We need someone to run the peering and security tracks, and the newcomer's breakfast.

Since the we did not have a formal quorum for this PC call, we were only able to discuss and review talks in the PC tool, no voting on talks occurred.

Recruiting for a formal keynote hasn't worked so far - the PC has been thinking about an airline in the area (Delta) to see if they can keynote on airplane routing and how it relates to network routing.

The PC call ended at 1pm Eastern.
