ARIN + NANOG on the ROAD comes to Portland, Oregon!

You are invited to attend ARIN + NANOG on the Road in Portland, Oregon on Tuesday, September 10th, 2013.

The American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN) and the North American Network Operators Group (NANOG) are hosting a day of professional education and networking on 10 September 2013 at the Courtyard by Marriott Portland Downtown/Convention Center, in Portland, Oregon.

ARIN and NANOG sit at the junction of Internet infrastructure and network operations in North America, sharing a rich cooperative history with the operator community representing a large stakeholder group who work to keep the Internet working through ARIN policy and network operations.

Morning

Spend the morning getting up to speed on the history of the Regional Registry System, Internet Governance, and ARIN technical services.  Find out the latest about Internet number resource management – including IPv4 transfers and IPv6 adoption, and current ARIN policy developments.

Lunch Time

At mid day, we’ll provide lunch for all attendees.

Afternoon

In the afternoon, the program will include tutorials from ARIN on RPKI and NANOG on DNSSEC and additional NANOG educational content. NANOG will host a session on its role in the network operator community and ways to engage with and take part in its lively professional community of Internet engineers and architects. The day will conclude with an open microphone question and answer session, followed by two drawings for a $100 Amazon gift card for those who complete a short survey about the event.

Happy Hour

To wrap things up, we’ll be hosting a networking Happy Hour where conversation can continue in a more relaxed setting.
